Permissions

Understand how permission levels work across locations and groups.

HINDSITE has three permission levels: User, Manager, and Admin.

Permissions are assigned through Locations and Groups, giving you flexibility to tailor user roles. Every user is automatically assigned User permissions for any group or location they belong to. If you assign someone as a Manager for a specific group or location, they'll receive additional permissions on top of their User access for just that area.

For example:

  • A user might have User access at one location but be a Manager at another.

  • Admins have full access across the entire account, regardless of group or location.

NOTE: Users can be created without being assigned to any locations or groups. Once assigned to specific work orders, they’ll be able to view and complete only those work orders. They won’t have access to any other work orders within your organisation.
