Managing tool inspections

Tool inspections help you track when tools are due for inspection and maintain a record of completed inspections.

Written by Rory Broadbridge

Note: Inspection schedules are configured at the Tool Type level and automatically applied to tools of that type.

Viewing inspection status

Navigate to the Tools page and open the tool you want to review. Select the Inspections tab.

From here you can view:

  • The next inspection due date

  • The last inspection date

  • The inspection interval

  • Inspection history

Tools that are overdue for inspection will be clearly highlighted.

Marking a tool as inspected

When a tool has been inspected, you should open the Inspections tab for that tool and click Mark done.

Enter the inspection date and optionally upload an inspection certification or supporting documentation.

Click Save inspection.

Each completed inspection is recorded against the tool's inspection history.

Rescheduling an inspection

If an inspection due date needs to be adjusted, click Reschedule on the inspections tab for that tool.

Select the new due date and click Save.

Inspection notifications

Organisation administrators and location managers will receive email reminders about upcoming and overdue tool inspections.

Notifications include:

  • Weekly Digest – Sent weekly and includes all overdue inspections, as well as inspections due within the next 24 days.

  • Due Today Notification – Sent on the day an inspection is due.
