Locations
Locations help you organise work orders and assets based on physical or operational sites - such as job sites, branches, or facilities.
To add a new location, got to Locations in navigation bar or via Settings. Click Add Location and give it a name. Optionally, enter an address and assign it to a Company.
Assigning users and assets to a location ensures that work is properly scoped and access is restricted to the right people.
NOTE: Work instructions and work order templates can also be assigned to specific locations. Only assign them to a location if the work is unique to that site. For tasks that apply across multiple locations, consider using Groups or leaving them available to all users.
Groups
Groups let you organise your work instructions, typically by product line, function, or department.
Groups are optional but also interact into user permissions. To add a new group, navigate to Settings and click Groups. Then click Add Group.
Give the group a name and to assign users to the group, check Assignable Group.
NOTE: Work order templates can also be assigned to specific groups.
