Assigning users and assets to a work order

Assigning users and assets helps ensure the right people and equipment are connected to the right tasks.

Assigning Users

Users can be assigned at two levels:

  • Entire work order – multiple users can be assigned.

  • Individual work instructions – only one user can be assigned per work instruction.

Note: Assigning a user doesn’t stop others from completing the task — but it does add the work to that user’s My Work tab in the mobile app, making it easier for them to stay on top of their responsibilities.

Assigning Assets

Assets can also be assigned at both levels:

  • Entire work order – Best used when all work instructions relate to a single asset.

  • Individual Work Instructions – Useful when each work instruction relates to a different asset.

Assigned work appears on the Assets page, giving teams a clear view of what work is tied to which assets.
